Voci and Movember: In Support of Men's Health

Lynwood Hines December 23, 2019

As most people know by now, Movember is an annual event to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide. Every November, the goal is to “change the face of men’s health” by growing moustaches.

Although the event is meant to be fun, the cause is very serious. In the US, prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men, and 1 in 9 men will be diagnosed in their lifetime. Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men. And the rate of suicide for men is alarmingly high — 6 out of 10 suicides are men.

Voci has put together a team for Movember for the past three years. And I’m proud to report that this year was our best yet! We raised more money — over $2,000 — and had more engagement than ever before.

You can check out our team page here to see how we did.

Thanks to everyone at Voci who participated. Next year we can do even more!
